Technical Case

The increasing use of carbon fiber in the automotive industry presents challenges for material recovery and recycling during vehicle disposal. Some carbon fibers can be recycled however there are technical challenges that make this economically infeasible. This project will assess the impact of decisions made during the design phase on the recovery and recycling rates of carbon fiber.
